The Properties of the Faraday Effect in DyAlO3 Dysprosium Orthoaluminate
Abstract. In this article, one of the magneto-optical properties of the rare earth element dysprosium orthoaluminate is studied: the Faraday effect. Additionally, the Faraday constant has been determined, and its wavelength-dependent graph has been plotted. The spectral and temperature dependencies of the Faraday effect (EF) in dysprosium orthoaluminate (DyAlO3) have been measured, which included the measurement of its magnetic sensitivity as a function of temperature. That is, the temperature increased from 90 K to 300 K. Additionally, the Verday constant of dysprosium orthoaluminate was compared with the Verday constant of Tb3Ga5O12.
