Synthesis and Analysis of Multifunctional Nano-Scale Conductive (Co)-Oligomers Based on Meta-Phenylene Diamine and Pyrocatechol
Abstract. The oligomer was synthesized from the monomer m-phenylenediamine and pyrocatechol in an acidic medium under ultrasound, using potassium persulfate (K2S2O8) as an oxidant. The structure and properties of synthesized oligomer were investigated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and NMR (13C-NMR and 1H-NMR) spectroscopies. The FTIR and NMR analysis revealed that oligomers contain amin (-NH) and hydroxyl (-OH) groups. An SEM examination of the synthesized material showed that its morphology has a smooth surface. The nanofibers are characterized by a length of several micrometers and a diameter in the range of 100–500 nm.
