Accurate Model of Nonhomogeneous Local Communication Network with Synchronous Time Access Protocol
Abstract. In the article a nonhomogeneous local communication network with a synchronous time access protocol is considered. All communication stations of the network provide transmission of nonhomogeneous traffic - speech, video and data. Flows of speech, video and data messages enter at the speech, video and data substations of the network stations, respectively. The network under consideration is nonhomogeneous on intensity of the incoming message flow and type of messages. All the same-name substations of the network stations are homogeneous in their activity. This protocol is used in a network with unreliable substations of stations and a communication channel. An accurate model of the considered communication network in discrete time is proposed. This network model takes into account the states of the buffers of the considered communication station, the processes of failures and restorations of substations and the communication channel, and also more accurately determine the characteristics of the network.
