Stabilization of a Membrane with Optimization of Placements of Measurement Points and Oscillation Dampers
Abstract. The purpose of this work is providing an approach to the synthesis of control with lumped sources in distributed systems with feedback. In the problem presented here concerning the damping of the oscillations in a membrane using stabilizers, the following parameters are optimized: 1) the locations of the stabilizers; 2) the location of the points of measurement of the state of the membrane; 3) linear feedback parameters, which determine the relationship between the measurements of the state of the membrane and the modes of control of the stabilizers. Gradient formulas for the minimizing function are obtained with respect to optimizing parameters.
